# Gaurmon

> Gaurmon connects your AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse) to this week's grocery flyer deals and everyday shelf prices across the Greater Toronto Area, compared per kilo, litre or item, with the flyer behind every price. Toronto only for now.

Gaurmon is a remote MCP server for AI agents, not an app. Connector URL: https://www.gaurmon.com/api/mcp (streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in with Google or email).

## Where it works

- The Greater Toronto Area: No Frills, FreshCo, Food Basics.
- Toronto only for now. More stores and more cities are coming; ask your agent to check coverage for a postal code.

## How it works

1. **Add the connector.** Paste Gaurmon's URL into your agent's connector settings and sign in with Google or email. Your 14-day trial starts with the first question; no card needed.
2. **Ask about groceries.** Ask what's on sale near your postal code, where your list is cheapest, or whether a price is any good. Your agent plans; Gaurmon brings the prices.
3. **Shop with the source.** Every flyer price comes with its store, dates and the flyer image, so you can check it, or show it at the till to price-match.

## How Gaurmon works with your agent

- **Your agent plans. Gaurmon keeps.** Gaurmon doesn't decide what you eat. Your agent plans the week, or a nutrition app or recipe site does, and Gaurmon keeps what comes out of it: the meals, the grocery list and what you bought. It's the same in every agent and on every device.
- **Small tools that work together** Each tool does one job, like pricing an item, adding a meal or ticking off the list. Your agent can combine them with anything else it uses, and any agent can pick up where another left off.
- **Nothing hidden, nothing final** Every price shows its store, dates and source, and how it was costed for the amount you need. Every change to your meals reports what it did to the list and the total, and can be undone.
- **You stay in charge** Gaurmon reads prices and keeps the list and savings record you ask for. It never orders, pays or changes anything else, and items you add yourself or tick off are never removed behind your back.

## Connect

- **Claude (web, desktop, mobile):** Customize → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector. Paste the URL, then sign in. It shows up in the Claude desktop and mobile apps too.
- **ChatGPT:** On chatgpt.com: Settings → Apps → Developer mode, create an app with the URL, then sign in. It then works in the ChatGPT mobile app too.
- **Claude Code:** Run `claude mcp add --transport http gaurmon https://www.gaurmon.com/api/mcp`, then `/mcp` → gaurmon → Authenticate.
- **Meta Muse:** Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the URL, then sign in.

## How Gaurmon counts savings

For each item you record, Gaurmon looks at what the same item cost at grocery stores near you that week, from flyer deals and everyday shelf prices, and compares what you paid with the typical (middle) price. It only compares like with like: the same unit (per kilo, litre or item), a similar package size (no more than 2.5 times bigger or smaller than what you bought), and the same product, so chocolate milk isn't compared with plain milk. An item only counts toward your total when there are at least 3 local prices from at least 2 different chains; otherwise it's shown but left out. Paying more than typical counts too, so your total can go down as well as up. Member-only and coupon prices aren't used, and a flyer's printed "regular price" is never what we measure against. Each comparison is saved when you record it, so your record doesn't change later.

## Questions

**Where does Gaurmon work?** In the Greater Toronto Area only, for now, with No Frills, FreshCo and Food Basics flyers plus No Frills shelf prices. More stores and cities are on the way.

**Which agents can use it?** Agents that support remote MCP connectors with sign-in: Claude (web, desktop and mobile), Claude Code, ChatGPT (developer mode) and Meta Muse.

**Where do the prices come from?** From each store's weekly flyer, read page by page, and from stores' public everyday prices. Every price keeps its store, dates and source, and flyer prices keep the flyer image.

**Does Gaurmon order or pay for anything?** No. It reads prices and keeps the grocery list and savings record you ask it to. It never orders, pays or changes anything else on your behalf.

**What does it cost?** 14 days free with no card, then $3.99 a month or $39 a year (CAD), paid through Stripe. Your savings record stays free to view either way.

**How do I upgrade, cancel or delete my account?** Ask your agent for your Gaurmon plan and it will hand you a link, or sign in at gaurmon.com/account with the same account. From there you can choose or cancel a plan, download your data, or delete your account.
